The final three chapters of this book, including "Notes of the Tales," "Analysis of the Tales in th Folklore Society's Plan," and "Survey of the Incidents in Modern Indian Aryan Folk-tales," which comprise about one quarter of the text of the book, have been ommitted. They are of considerable scholarly interest, but are not suitable for the audience for whom this text is intended.
