The Fox in the Well

An unlucky Fox dropped into a well, and cried out for help. A Wolf overheard him, and looked down to see what the matter was. "Ah," says Reynard, "pray lend me your hand, friend, and get me out of this." "Poor creature," says the Wolf, "how did this come about? how long hast thou been here? thou must be mighty cold." "Come, come," says the Fox, "this is no time for pitying and asking questions; get me out of the well first, and I will tell you all about it afterward."
